From the Diocese of Alabama

What We Do

We have two distinct bodies, the Task Force and the Liaisons. The Task Force is a small group of interested persons who meet quarterly to plan strategies, prepare educational and liturgical materials, and coordinate activities. They are appointed by the Bishop for 3-year terms. This group has recruited the Liaisons. The Task Force has produced curriculum materials for adult classes, and has a web site and a Yahoo!group to facilitate communication. The Task Force actually has a small annual budget of $2000 from the Diocese.

The Liaisons provide the function of linking the Task Force to the parishes in the Diocese. Ideally, each parish will have one liaison. This person attends meetings and keeps abreast of materials and activities provided by the Task Force and communicates with people in the parishes.
